How it Began
On 12 August 2015, my 75th birthday, I, Ruth Zacharias, was awarded the Life-Time-Award by Deafblind International, which was presented to me by the State Premier of Saxony Stanislav Tillich.
This honour was the reason my counselling advisors and I began to ask and consider the possibility of a worldwide mission calling to preach the Gospel to deafblind people. In three conclaves, seven individuals confronted these questions and came to the conclusion that deafblind people belong to the unreached nations of the world to whom the Gospel should be preached (Isaiah 42:1ff; Matthew 24:14). Besides the Conclaves, three days of prayer were held in Radeberg for the needs of deafblind people.
